Costs

In Switzerland physiotherapy is normally referred by a general practitioner or specialist and is included

in the primary health care system.

Costs for treatment are covered by all Swiss health care insurance companies, excluding a 10 % franchise,when a prescription is presented. If treatment costs are paid by an accident insurance policy (UVG) or the disability insurance (IV) then no franchise is paid.

You can also attend as a private patient without a prescription in which case the billing will be sent directly to you.
